DC "Bear" McPhail

Bear's expertise is in aqueous geochemistry, groundwater and regolith geochemistry, with applications to mineral exploration, water resources, salinity dynamics, and metal contamination and mobility. He uses a combination of field, experimental and numerical modeling studies to understand metal speciation, metal and other solute mobility and isotope geochemistry, interaction between groundwater and surface water, and aquifers and aquitards, to establish natural and human impacts on water amounts and quality.
