Hugh Sibly

Hugh Sibly is a senior lecturer in the School of Economics and Finance, University of Tasmania. Hugh's research lies broadly in the areas of pricing He has a particular interest in the pricing of natural resources, especially urban water pricing. He has published a number of papers on the use of pricing and competition as a mechanism to solve the current water crisis. Hugh has been involved in a number of Tasmanian government investigations into water pricing, including acting as Assistant Commissioner for the Tasmanian Government Prices Oversight Commission in its 2001 and 2004 Investigation into Bulk Water Pricing Policies
