Angela Arthington
An Aquatic Ecologist with a wide knowledge of freshwater biology, flow-ecology relationships and processes in rivers and floodplains, lake ecology/limnology, impacts of land-use, flow regulation and alien species in aquatic ecosystems; river and lake health assessment. Particular expertise in tropical, sub-tropical and arid-zone river fish assemblages, recruitment and river-floodplain processes. Currently leads research in "Water Allocation and Environmental Flows" in the Australian Rivers Institute, Griffith University, Brisbane; also affiliated with eWater Co-operative Research Centre ("Dryland Refugia Project") and MTSRF ("Freshwater indicators and thresholds of concern" in Wet and Dry Tropics rivers. Leader of NWC project "Hydro-ecology relationships and thresholds to inform environmental flow management and river restoration". Strong international research collaborations, wide consulting experience.
